OCSA Race Management Clinic – Mar 6

Attention Race Captains, Fleet Captains, Principal Race Officers and Mighty Race Committee Volunteers!

It’s that time of year again. What time, you ask? Time to brush up on your race management skills at the annual Oregon Corinthian Sailing Association (OCSA) Race Management Clinic. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Our mighty race committee volunteers are the ones who make racing possible for all. For those who haven’t volunteered in awhile, or for those who are new and would like to volunteer, we’d love to have you in our midst and hope you’ll consider joining the fun. No pre-registration is required.

Date/Time: Wednesday, March 6, 6 to 9 p.m.
Location: Rose City Yacht Club – 3737 NE Marine Drive Portland, OR 97211

Description: The one-evening clinic will focus on the planning and the coordination involved in putting on a sailboat race. There will be something for everyone. You will have the opportunity to learn about topics including courses, timing, calculations, planning, promoting, handling protests and more. If you are interested in becoming a part of race management either as a Race Captain or on a Race Committee, this clinic is a must. All comers are welcome!

Cost: FREE!
Details: Pizza will be available for $2 a slice; sodas are free.
