I am looking for a ride for the Oregon Offshore this year. I've done the race multiple times and don't get sick. I have my own equipment and am easy to get along with. Todd

I'm looking to find a crew that needs a hand for Oregon Offshore so I can do my first offshore race.

I've been racing for 2 years and sailing as an adult for 3. I grew up with a Laser in a sailing family - many things came back to me quickly once I began skippering. I skippered my own Cal 25 in Seattle's Duck Dodge the past two seasons where I'd routinely come in the top third of my start, with no handicap corrections. I've had her out surfing during small craft advisories and have cruised her as far as the San Juans, Port Townsend, and Anacortes a few times.

In the beginning of 2016 I moved to Hawaii and raced there at least twice a week for 6 months. I crewed primarily on the J/35 Addiction, where I was a trimmer and worked pit. I backed up on main and helm when needed. I also sailed on the Hobie 33 Mayhem and raced on Kaneohe Bay on the J/80 Mojito. I sailed between Oahu, Maui and Lanai twice and also crossed the Alenuihaha to Big Island, each time manning my own watches.

In September I purchased a J/35 which was modified extensively and have been living aboard while modifying her for distance cruising. I raced her in Sloop Tavern Yacht Club's Race Your House where we took first in our start and first overall for the nonflying class. We corrected out to be 6th out of 53 overall - despite there being mostly cruisers we did beat a -18 rated boat outright, for what it's worth.

I just finished US Sailing's Safety at Sea course.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to meet a Skipper who needs a hand for Oregon Offshore. I'm willing to come down to Portland for a few practices tho I'd need to coordinate transit and lodging. I work remotely so I might not just be limited to weekends. I'd love to talk with you and see if I'm a good fit.

I'm a dinghy sailor looking to race more keel boats. I have a decent amount of experience racing dinghies and coaching Lasers and high school sailing. More recently, I've been racing Thistles the past few years (triple-hand dinghy with a spinnaker). I have some experience with Merit 25s and J105s. I want to jump in with a competitive boat in a one-design fleet and be part of a team. I am not interested in sailing with a skipper who is a screamer- sailing should be fun and yelling makes it stressful!

I can sail some Sundays until the evening series starts and then open to either Tuesday or Thursday after work. I'm also into doing regattas. I work up by the river so getting there on a weeknight is no problem.

I'm a relatively recent transplant to the PNW looking to get out on the water. Most of my racing experience comes from Michigan. Was on the college sailing team for 4 years (Western Michigan University) sailing 420s and Lasers. Have a lot of big boat experience on Lake Michigan racing around the cans and distance races, including 5 Chicago-Mackinacs. Mostly foredeck on keel boats but can bounce around. Have done a lot of hobie cat/F18 racing as well. Most recently was racing in the Miami Etchells fleet for 2 seasons in the Jaguar Cup. Looking to do some racing in Portland, will do pretty much any position, I'm just happy to get out on the water and hang out. Currently 25 years old, 155lbs, and in downtown Portland. Airline pilot is my day job. Looking forward to sailing on the Columbia!

I specifically looking to get on a boat for the Baja HaHa. I've worked the foredeck in the past but am out of practice. I am ASA certified 101, 103, 104. I am looking for more blue water sailing. I've recently bought a 1980 Morgan 382, my first boat! I'm an OWSA (Oregon Women Sailing Association) member and have skippered a Cal20 & a Columbia 22 on the Columbia river.

Experienced in cruising, no experience in racing but would like to learn (hence beginner experience rating). Sailed dingy's (mostly Sunfish) growing up and had a Newport 27 that I day-sailed regularly (2-3 times a month) until a year ago when family decided to get rid of the boat for a larger one in Seattle. I skippered the Newport on several occasions, and could single-hand the boat in light winds. Sailed the Newport 27 from Seattle to PDX as well with my father. I am eager to learn and calm under pressure.
Looking to learn how to race, relaxed environment preferred to start as I learn the basics of competitive sailing. Any boat size ok, will sail in any safe weather. Available anytime other that Wednesday evenings. A racing series or regular sail schedule is preferred. 6'3", 200lbs, athletic (regular runner and surfer). Have own gear and life jacket. Would love to race Oregon Off-Shore.

Hello, I've recently returned from Virginia where I was able to sail for the first time in some races. I have minimal experience and I'm looking to learn as much as possible. When I was in Virginia I crewed with a Lightening and a Inland 20 Scow. I wasn't able to sail a Laser, but they definitely caught my eye and I'd love to sail one. That being said, I'm open to crew for any type of sailboat. I'm hard working and I believe I would be a great asset to any crew who is willing to teach me. Thank you- Rae (Rachel)

Most of my racing experience is from Charleston, SC. Since moving to the PNW I've been consistently racing and this summer I purchased a Dash 34 (Laurie Davidson Design) and am getting her race ready for this Spring. I recently completed my USCG Captains Training at Flagship Marine in Tacoma with Capt. Skip Anderson (Including the Sailing Endorsement, Towing Endorsement and the Marine Radio Operators Permit). I am looking to crew on boats in offshore races and will also be able to help deliver the vessel back to her port of origin. I'm 6'2", 185# and fit. I take direction well and I'm drama-free.

Looking to crew on a boat for the Oregon Offshore and possibly also the Swiftsure in 2017.

I won a $50 discount for registration in the Oregon Offshore for 2017 in the OCSA raffle, however I own and race Thunder Pig (a Ranger 20) which I'm not going to attempt the offshore with, so how about your boat? I'm kinda like a crew groupon.

I have a safety at sea certificate from the classroom-only Portland workshop in 2015, and have done the Oregon Offshore once before, and the Swiftsure twice before, all on s/v Shamrock (Yankee 30) in 2013 & 2014.

I've been racing on the Columbia River for the past 6+ years nonstop in the E-fleet, J/24, Ranger 20, and Catalina Capris 22 fleets. Comfortable in pretty much all crew positions at this point.

Would LOVE an opportunity to sail the offshore on a faster boat. Let me know!

Hi everyone,

I just moved up here from San Diego, where I have raced the past 3 years. I primarily raced on a Catalina 30 or Catalina 36 in the Beer Cans, Hot Rums, and SD Catalina association races where I was trimming either the headsail or mainsail. I also got my US Keelboat certification on a J/80, which were a lot of fun.

Wanting to get into the local amateur racing scene up here, and get out an have a good time.

Looking forward to learning the challenges of sailing in a river vs. the bay or open ocean.

I have done regular races in the SF Bay, multi-day ocean cruises and sailed in the San Juan Islands. I'm a keen and quick learner and also happy to pass on any knowledge I have.
I'm comfortable taking orders and comfortable leading as well, adapting to the team and/or Skipper's needs.
My interests in sailing span the gap between competitive racing and relaxed weekend family cruises. Looking forward to meeting more sailors in the area!

I have sailing on the Snake River near Clarkston WA for most of my sailing experience. I have a Newport 28 in Clarkston WA. This requires a lot of tacking, changes in wind, but obviously no navigation . While I prefer cruising I have raced times in the Lewis Clark Sailing Association from 2008 -2014. I have crewed on the Oregon Offshore once, and cruised in the Gulf Islands once. I am interested in learning more about coastal and offshore sailing. I have gear and would like an opportunity to crew this coming year. I've mainly sailed on my family's 26 Reinell, my Newport 28, and a Morgan 42. I would like to experience sailing a wider variety of boats.

I grew up in San Diego going out sailing with my father all the time. He owns a Catalina 39 which I have spend hundreds of hours aboard, often cruising to Catalina or other Channel Islands. I also have experience in smaller boats, racing all through high school. I raced lasers for many years and owned a Capri 16 which I raced on for many years. The past two years I have lived in Central Oregon and missed out on sailing opportunities, I am looking to get back on a boat and am up to help out wherever is needed.
