Following five weeks of racing each, SYSCO’s (Small Yacht Sailing Club of Oregon) Spring and Summer Series concluded with warm evenings, decent winds and colorful sunsets. Skippers and crew were drawn together on the Columbia Crossings lawn, both Tuesday and Thursday post series, for the annual club-hosted barbeques of burgers, brauts, beer, salads and all the trimmings. Good times and good humor were shared among the numerous participants, as races were re-told and playful ribbing was rampant.
Special thanks to Warren Dalby (SYSCO Race Captain), Rich Jones (SYSCO Principle Race Officer), Stephanie Rice (SYSCO Social Chair) and all the volunteers who made the series and socials such a success.
