Construction on the I-5 bridge was delayed, as a result of the recent wildfires, and has been rescheduled to begin at 12:01 AM on Saturday, September 19, with the closure of the northbound span and will remain closed until 11:59 PM on Sunday, September 27. The work will restrict bridge lifts and reroute vehicle traffic, resulting in increased congestion in the area.
This will be followed immediately by a single lane closure on I-5 southbound, September 28–October 4, as construction crews remove equipment from the area and wrap up the project. During this time, expect delays traveling into Oregon.
