Martin Slough Entrance Hazard!!!

Due to multiple crashes near and in the Martin Slough Entrance channel from nearby I-5, there have been Fuel and Oil Spill Booms put in place to catch any contaminants from heading downriver.  The Boom has an anchor Ball that sits about half way into the channel from the mainland side.  When transiting through this area make sure to leave the Anchor Ball on the mainland side.  Meaning go between the Ball and the Island.  For now we have plenty of high water and it is located in a position that probably will be OK anyway.  We are in touch with the agency that put in the Boom and it will be there for at least another month.  Please make sure to let your club members know.  This will also be repeated in the next newsletter, but it was deemed important enough to get the word out with clubs heading there this weekend.  Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend, and we’ll hope to see you on the water soon.
