The Safe Boating Campaign is a worldwide effort focused on responsible boating, encouraging boaters to always wear a life jacket while on the water. The 2019 Safe Boating Week begins today, May 18th, and continues through next Friday, May 24th.
While it may be tempting to not wear a life jacket, especially on nice days, and you want to get some sun, think you’ll get too hot, or think you’re a strong swimmer, accidents happen in an instant. Whether you’re going sailing, fishing or just enjoying a ride on a boat, there’s never an excuse to not wear a life jacket. Make it a habit — always wear a life jacket!
