Everyone is talking about it! How are we going to apply the new 2017-20 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)?!
Well, you’re in luck! Portland will be holding the North U Rules and Tactics Seminar on February 25th, taught by famed champion sailor and Senior US Sailing Judge Dave Perry, to introduce the new rules and tactical applications.
As in 2013, OCSA (Oregon Corinthian Sailing Association) again will host and generously subsidize the seminar. OCSA has arranged to bring Mr. Perry to Portland, allowing OCSA members and local racers to attend for about half the usual North U seminar price. Even better, the discounted seminar price includes full US Sailing membership, as well.
As an added bonus, the program will begin the evening before, when Perry steps off the plane and launches into a mock protest hearing. Perry will offer tips and commentary about the protest hearing process, and walk the panel and participants through the three parts of a hearing: validation of the protest, evidence, and decision.
