Everyone is invited to attend this FREE workshop brought to you by OCSA (Oregon Corinthian Sailing Association). This is a MUST for all those race captains and fleet captains, especially, who will be running regattas or series, as well as any others who expect to serve on a Race Committee boat. This is more important than ever since most clubs no longer are hiring a paid PRO (Principle Race Officer) to make the important decisions and need YOU to make the proper call!
DESCRIPTION: Led by seasoned Principal Race Officer Rich Jones, this two hour clinic will focus on the planning and coordination involved in managing a sailboat race. You will have the opportunity to learn about topics such as course options, how to factor wind strength, fleet traffic issues, timing, how and when to shorten a course, and more. Rich will share practical advice from what he has learned over the years. This promises to be essential information for race management, both for the race captain as well as those on the Race Committee boat. Bring your questions!
