Very little experience. Took a course last year at WSC. Heard this is a great way to continue learning and great exposure to sailing in the OR/WA area.

Grew up living at the Oregon Yacht Club in Sellwood where we owned two single-hull sailboats and one catamaran. Attended a sailing-heavy summer camp on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands (https://fourwindscamp.org/) for seven years growing up. Raced Hobiecat 16's on the Columbia River while in high school. Worked as a professional deckhand on The Pride of Baltimore II (https://pride2.org/) and sailed a seven month journey through the Mediterranean Sea, North Sea, down the Northern African coastline to the Canary Islands, across the Atlantic Ocean, through the Caribbean Sea and up the Atlantic Seaboard from Puerto Rico to Baltimore.

I raced on a couple of boats from 2005 - 2009 during the spring and summer racing series (Sysco?). Barcode and LaFawnduh were both around 28'-30' boats where I was primarily grinding and trimming!

Would love to join a crew for some offshore racing. I currently skipper a J24 with the Island Sailing Club. I’ve been racing consistently for the past 3 years and been sailing for most of my life. I’m certified with my ASA 101,103 and 104 courses. I’m taking the Safety at Sea (SAS) course on 2/23/25. I also worked at Rodger’s Marine for a stint, so I’m versed in boat electronics and mechanics.
Feel free to reach out. Would love to talk sailing with you!!

Rather new to sailing but not the water. Have passed my 101 class no problem. I can't wait to get out on the water again. Planning to purchas a larger vessel within the next 5 years. But until then I am open to it all. I am a valuable person that is quick thinking and willing to listen and have never been afraid to learn something new or in different way. I have done many different types of marine repairs from fiberglass to engine work. Best contact at the moment is email gtollefsonpdx@gmail.com and second by phone 503-245-8502
Oh and I'm not afraid of a little cold water or the rain! Thanks for looking! - Jonathan

I’ve completed ASA 101 & 103. Scheduled for 104 this spring. I’m fit, agile and motivated. I have a flexible schedule and can crew during the work week or weekends. Would love to get out on 40’ ish yachts in anticipation of purchasing my own in the next few years. I have foul weather gear.

2yrs new to PDX, moved from NYC. Member of Orienta Yacht Club, Mamaroneck, NY, where I learned to sail and race an ‘87 Benetaeu First 235 I had at the time.
Hoping to get back on the water this coming season, make some new friends, become a better sailor, and maybe find a boat of my own again.

Hello,
My name is Panya. I’m a former high school dinghy racer who is attending college in Portland. I’d love to race or cruise and practice sailing. I love racing and have been racing dinghy’s since tenth grade but my experience on larger boats is somewhat limited (a couple races here and there on thunderbirds and once on a schooner). I would definitely need a little training but I will pick it up quick!
If anyone needs a crew for dinghy sailing too I’d love to race dinghies (have previously raced fjs 420s and 29ers) - Darrell

I am looking to be part of a competitive and established crew and a well run boat. I have several year’s experience racing and have experience in all positions. I’m probably a little more experienced than the intermediate level that I put down though those are ambiguous terms. I have crewed on 6 metre, 5.5 metre, J-105, Flying Tiger 10M as well as others. I race my own boat, a 5.5 metre with a crew of three to four in a competitive one design fleet on Fern Ridge Lake in the summer months on Wednesday evenings.
I am interested in both one design and offshore racing. I am self employed and can take time off to do one design regattas or offshore races such as Pacific Northwest Offshore and Swiftsure. The captain I have been sailing with has decided to retire from racing recently so I’m looking for another boat. Feel free to contact me and let’s talk. - Greg

Dying to get on the water again! Cold water doesn't scare me. I'm willing and eager to learn what's needed. I pick things up quickly and very competitive. I have taken ASA101 and live for more input! My better half is also eager to go racing she has the same drive to be rail meat!!

I recently moved to Portland and I am looking for opportunities to sail. I would like to join a crew for any racing or cruising.
My racing experience is from racing on Yaquina Bay in Newport Oregon. I've raced regularly on a Beneteau First 27 and a Wilderness 21. Most of my racing experience is either double handed or with 3 people. I have experience running symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers.
I recently finished a 4 month solo trip cruising my Cape Dory 28 from Olympia up to Petersburg Alaska.
I also have experience installing/diagnosing marine electronics and autopilots.

I just completed a week-long live-aboard sail course where I assisted in all positions to obtain my ASA 101, 103, and 104. I am looking to assist on crews to gain more continued experience in the Portland area.

Things to consider.
I love sailing.
I'll be 75 this coming February.
I haven't crewed for a very long time. The last time was in the late 1970's.
Up until about a year ago I sailed a Hobiecat 18.
I will have to equip myself if chosen. - Gillian

Hi! I have little to no sailing experience but have been yearning to learn to sail since forever and it's the perfect time in my life to make my dream come true. I am an extremely fast learner and am able to help with any task needed. I work great under pressure and can guarantee after a week or two ill have everything down and do it flawlessly!

I am a very eager beginning sailor, having completed 101 and 103 ASA. I would love to learn the ins and outs of racing from those with more experience. Quick learner, reliable, and love to be out on the water.

I have experience on the following classes of sailboats: J44, J105, Figaro 2. (A few weekends sailing a laser over the winter.)
I was on the offshore sailing team in college competing in regattas across Long Island sound. As well in Annapolis at the Naval Academy against teams from across the country.
I am interested in crewing on vessels and learning new skills. Also networking and meeting new people.

Hi there, I'm looking for a spot on a Sailing on Sundays boat for this "off season season". I can make most days except right around the December holidays, rain, shine or sleet (although if the decks are icy I may bow out!). I'm pretty happy on the water, be it a drift race or 10g25.
I've been sailing on the Columbia and occasionally the Sound for 6 years off and on, and racing about half that. I've done Sailing on Sundays both winter and summer versions, and both Tuesday and Thursday races as time permitted. Boats I've raced on ranged from 24 to 40', and I feel like I'm getting better at most things including spinnaker trim. My remaining challenges are spinnaker takedowns and calling puffs consistently, but I'm working on it.
I'm also gearing up to start racing my own boat, so I'm interested in all aspects of crewing.
