With continued positive estimates for the Spring Chinook run, Oregon & Washington mutually agreed today to extend recreational salmon fishing by reopening the season for Friday-Sunday (May 13 – 15). This means that sailors in the Lower Columbia River can expect to see more fishing boats, either trolling and/or at anchor. Rules of the “water” apply, whether you’re racing or cruising, so please be courteous – our waterways are for everyone to enjoy.
