March 24th (yes, this weekend!!!): RCYC Frostbite Regatta (Sat)
The RCYC Frostbite Regatta, the first race to kick-off the 2018 racing season, is Saturday, March 24, 2018. Get your crew together, shake off the rust, and get a headstart on the competition for the OCSA Participation & Performance trophy. For details and registration, click here. April 6th: Sailor’s Dinner (Fri)
Portland Yacht Club will again be hosting the annual Sailors’ Dinner on Friday, April 6th. Cocktails will begin at 5:30, with dinner at 7:00. The menu will be salad, rolls, Spring vegetables, our traditional Prime Rib and dessert. Also, for those of you who earned a trophy during any of the 2017 PYC races, those trophies will be awarded during this event. The price for the dinner will be $33 per person, and reservations can be made online.
April 7th & 8th: Opening Day Regatta (Sat-Sun)
This year PYC will also be the sole host of the Opening Day Regatta. Entries should be submitted online, with the final entry deadline at 1800 hours (6:00 PM) on Friday, April 6th. Early entry fee is $35 if completed by 1800 hours on Tuesday, April 3rd, and $40 if completed after that time but by 1800 on Friday, April 6th. Class divisions and any changes will be posted on the official notice board by 2200 hours (10:00 PM) on Friday, April 6th.

ISC Monday night racing continues (Mon)
Island Sailing extends an invitation to all Capri 22, Wavelength 24 or equivalent sailboat skippers to compete in the Monday Night Races on the Columbia River between I-5 and 205 bridges. For more information please contact the ISC Racing Commodore at info@islandsailingclub.com
April 12th: SYSCO Race Clinic (Thurs)
New to racing on the river? Want a refresher on what courses to expect, how starts are run, what special rules and conditions govern racing on the mighty Columbia? SYSCO invites all skippers and crew to attend a free pre-season race clinic, offering critical information to new racers and seasoned skippers alike. April 16th: Oregon Offshore Kick-Off Party (Mon)
The Oregon Offshore Kickoff Party is at 1830 hours, at Kell’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, 112 SW 2nd Ave, Portland, OR. For more information, go to the OOR website or email oregonoffshore@cycportland.org.
April 21st: SYSCO COB Challenge (Sat)
The Small Yacht Sailing Club of Oregon (SYSCO) extends an invitation to all boats to compete in this special regatta between the I-5 and I-205 Bridges. This is a single medium-distance race event, with a pursuit start based on handicapped ratings, with each boat required to complete a simulated crew overboard drill on each of the first and second legs of the course. First warning signal at 1255 hours, slowest rated boat starts at 1300. For more information or to register, check the Event Notice Board or email sailing@syscosailing.org.
April 24th & April 26th: SYSCO Spring Series (Tues & Thurs)
The Small Yacht Sailing Club of Oregon (SYSCO) extends an invitation to all sailboat skippers to compete in this series on the Columbia River between the I-5 and I-205 bridges.
