Later this week, several local sailors will head to Oak Harbor Washington to race in the 2016 Whidbey Island Race Week, July 11 through July 15. Race registration was limited to the first 150 boats that registered, with cruising and racing yachts ranging from 19 to 75 feet LOA (length overall). Five boats will represent the Portland area and participate in this year’s Race:

- Abstract, Doug Pihlaja, J/105
- Troublemaker, John Weil/Kent Sisk, J/105
- Myst, Rod Buck, Melges 24
