Very little experience racing. A bit on a Cal 20 and some more on J-24.

I have been a passenger on sail boats many times but never learned the ropes. I have no hands on experience beyond tying a few knots. My family is full of sailors and I am eager to learn!

Excited to get on the water this season. Have ASA101 as well as a number of races in the 2025 season on a Merit25. Attending ASA103 this summer. Looking for a captain needing 2 more people as my girlfriend is also wanting to join in the fun. She also has ASA101 and attending ASA103 this summer. Wanting to learn and experience more of what sailboat racing has to offer. Our plans are to purchase a bluewater boat in the somewhat near future and see where it takes us.

I am middle age, great overall shape. 5'7" 150 lbs. Not much of a drinker or smoker. I helped my parents in building their 50' catamaran during highschool in Sebastian Florida. After highschool I caretook a 48' piver trimaran in the intercoastal and sailed her with friends off the coast. I then had a 24' Catalina on Beaver lake in Arkansas a 60 mile lake in the Ozarks for over ten years. Testing my skills and sailing in all weather. 40mph winds whipping through on some days. Now I am currently located near Newport Oregon, but will travel anywhere in the states to crew. Also I have been a professional chef most all my 25 year career along with owning my own metal art business and plasma cutting. Am able to do fiberglass and help in maintenance issues as I would do my own boat, hauling it out each winter. Am very positive, drama free with a true love and respect of the ocean, people and sailing.

I have about 2700 nautical miles in cruising. Id like to get more experience with racing.

I have worked as a chef/first mate on a sailing charter in the San Juans for two seasons. Assisting the captain on a Bruce Roberts 55’ pilothouse ketch. Completed ASA 101,103, with 104 to be completed in April. I still continue that gig from June to late September. Ideally I’d like to get on one boat and be able to return for winter races as well.

I am a member of RCYC and I currently am part owner of a Catalina 28. I have been sailing for most of my life and I did a fair bit of racing in Southern California, but I have not raced on the Columbia. I'm looking to gain some experience as part of a crew in what ever capacity is needed.

Sailing, cruising, and racing since 2010. ASA 101 - 104, Power Squadron Navigation class, Safety at Sea (2023), Maritime First Aid (2023). Navigator and crew 2016 Offshore. Crew for Swiftsure 2013, 2014 & 2016. Past Portland area racing crew, usually as mainsail trimmer. Have done several bareboat charters and cruised Inside Passage from Port McNeill to Comox. OWSA member since 2010. Calm and steady temperament, strong navigation skills. I am eager to be part of a sailing team again after a break of several years. I've got my asa 103 cert.(At the moment) I am 6ft 5" 53yo and fit, going through 4th midlife crisis.

I am a relatively new sailor at sixty-six years young. We are members of WSC and sail a Day Sailer. I can be found most days during the summer on the water single handing our DS. I am up to speed on racing rules and wish to get some hours on a larger boat. I started tracking my hours and distance sailed since 2019 and have rung a total of 1,332 Nautical Miles since purchasing our dinghy in 2019.

Hi, I am hoping to get on a competitive boat for the Winter series and beyond. I have raced my own 32’ one design 5.5mR on Fern Ridge Lake for several years in a competitive one design fleet. I have raced in Portland in a couple of different boats flying both symmetrical and asymmetrical kites. I have raced in Puget sound on 6mR boats. I am comfortable in all positions including mainsail trim, spinnaker trim, helm, foredeck, mast and everything else. I would not classify myself as an expert though I am far from a beginner. I am looking for a competitive race boat and being part of a dedicated crew. I have all the gear and clothing for racing in the winter series. I have raced my own boat a 32’ one design in a competitive fleet on Fern Ridge for several years. I have also raced on various other boats on the Columbia and Puget sound including J boats, 6mR and others. I have done all the positions from mast to main sheet, fordeck to helm. I am a versatile sailer and would make a great addition to your crew. I am hesitant to call myself advanced as I know some amazing sailors though I am experienced and know my way around a racing boat. Until I find a permanent spot on a crew I am open to fill in in a pinch when a crew member is needed. Feel free to call me.
