Completed ASA101 with Island Sailing in the fall of 2023.

I’ve been sailing for a couple years now. Mostly small 24’ boats for day sails alone after completing lessons with Portland sailing center and some ASA courses elsewhere. Looking to join a crew for more experience. Local to Portland

I recently completed ASA 101 and am interested to build on my new knowledge and skills. 😎

I have been recreationally sailing 4 years, mostly solo at Fern Ridge on modest keel boats, including my own Catalina 22. I completed the ASA 101-104 on the Columbia River and in the San Juans. I want to get more experience in all conditions (including crummy weather/Type II fun) and on bigger boats, with personal aspirations for coastal cruising in the Salish Sea and further north. I also have offshore ambitions.

I checked the “rail meat” box because I do not have race experience, just cruising experience and I am willing learn any position of racing.

I am based out of Corvallis and am a professor. I have a lot of flexibility with regard to my time and am willing to making reciprocal commitments. I come from a mountaineering/rock climbing/backpacking/mountain biking background and appreciate risk assessment under challenging conditions, and I have a healthy respect for the power of the water.

I have an ASA 101 cert, with previous experience racing spinnakers on the great lakes of Michigan. Looking for practice with sailing in any form, quick learner and great team player. Thanks in advance!

Sailed in my youth, dinghies and windsurfers. Would love to crew a boat to get back on the water !

I took the beginner sailing class at Willamette a few years ago. Raced on a Flying Tiger 10 last year and a Merit 25 this year. Most commonly cockpit, foredeck, and jib trim. Only position I have minimal of is helm.

Looking primarily for opportunities to race Sail on Sundays. However, open to any cruising or racing otherwise.

Have a wide variety of experience on the Columbia filling most roles on a Merit 25 and Flying Tiger 10 over the last couple years.

Specifically looking at crewing on a boat for the Sail on Sunday series. However, have quite a bit of time on my hands at the moment so I'd be happy to do some cruising locally or regionally.

I've recently taken ASA 101 class as well as the beginner class at Portland Sailing Center. Looking to get as much time on the water as I can and improve my skills.

Recently added a 28ft Newport to my list of boats owned. I'm a newbie to racing and a good listener, also work as a handyman for my day job.

Little experience, but looking to gain it. Happy to do what's needed. Trying to meet other sailors. I have a 15 foot Chrysler Mutineer which I have sailed a couple times. Other than that, I have a Bermudan-style sail rig for my kayak that I have used quite a bit this past 6-months.

I’m 27 years old and have recreational experience when I was a teen on Dingy and ~30-40ft monohulls. Completed ASA 101. Eager to learn and build experience.

Hi everyone! New to Portland and looking to get involved in some more sailing. I grew up in White Salmon, WA where I spent many summer evenings at the Hood River Marina jumping on boats to crew the weekday regattas. I moved to Seattle for university in 2008 and crewed on a few boats for the regular Lake Union Duck Dodge. I also sailed for the UW race team one season and at the UW Yacht Club. In 2016 I moved to Bellingham, WA where I sailed all over the Puget Sound and Lake Whatcom. Super comfortable on the water and excited to connect with Portland sailors in whatever way I can be helpful!

Will be in Portland the week of 9/19 - 9/21 hoping to find an opportunity to get on the water. Have taken ASA 101-104 and have sailed with Southern Idaho Sailing Association. Would love to sail on the Columbia!

I am looking to get some experience racing and or cruising in the PDX area. I have my ASA 101 and my own Catalina 22 that I take out on the Columbia but would love to get some more experience with some seasoned sailors! I'm super laid back and take direction well. Cheers!

I did Rail meat once. I have 0 experience, But I'm a surfer, spearfisher and I have been in contact with the ocean since I was a child, I will love to learn to sail and to know if its is for me.

Hi! I’m Dawn, and I’d like to continue sailing in Oregon

I grew up sailing. I can often be found sailing my Catalina 25 on a lake by myself. I crewed this summer on a wavelength as foredeck, and on a lido. Last spring I crewed on a lightning as foredeck. I am looking to start doing some offshore sailing. Both cruising and racing.

I have sailed roughly 10 times on a J26 and raced a few times in the Monday night regatta. I was responsible for helping raise and lower the spinnaker and jib. I am looking to get out on the water more and learn more about sailing on different types of boats.
